Seeing the platform within the product.

Shaping a broader direction for off-grid infrastructure at the intersection of energy, technology, and human experience.

The strategic question

What could an off-grid product become when it is understood as part of a connected system of energy, services, and experiences?

At Electric Outdoors, the strategic question extends beyond an individual physical product. It concerns the relationships among infrastructure, digital capability, the people using it, and the people responsible for sustaining it.

My contribution

As Chief Product & Innovation Officer, I lead product and innovation direction as the company develops a broader platform for sustainable off-grid services. I bring the hardware, energy systems, digital experiences, and commercial proposition into a shared strategic frame.

This work requires judgment about what belongs in the platform, what must be learned, and which assumptions deserve attention before greater commitment. Research, simulation, and prototyping help make those choices more concrete.

A developing platform perspective that connects physical infrastructure, intelligent energy, and the experience of using off-grid services.

The wider implication

Platform thinking begins with the relationships that create value. Technology matters because of the possibilities it opens for people and the dependencies it introduces for the organization.

This is ongoing product and strategy work. The platform direction describes the opportunity we are developing; it is not a claim of a completed transformation or proven commercial scale.
