The question
Mitsubishi Power was developing a broader service proposition around its TOMONI Solutions Agreement. The opportunity crossed business units, customer relationships, data, technology, and existing service operations.
The challenge was not simply how to package the offer. Customer needs, leadership expectations, and delivery capabilities were not yet aligned.
My contribution
As Business Design and Strategy Facilitator, I helped leadership and specialist teams work through that mismatch. Through facilitated sessions and synthesis, we connected the proposed value to the capabilities and operating changes it would require.
Our team revisited the strategy and business plan, made gaps in the customer offer and execution more visible, and helped develop a configurable service direction and clearer actions.
The system mattered
The related Remote Monitoring Center work made the connection especially clear: the experience of the existing service affected confidence in the new proposition. Customer support, data standards, tooling, ownership, and escalation were part of the product experience.
Vectorform developed an operating roadmap, supported its execution through interim program management, and helped onboard permanent leadership. Those were shared team contributions; my role centered on business design and facilitation.
WHAT MOVED FORWARD
A revised strategy, a clearer view of customer and delivery gaps, and a roadmap with owned actions gave the organization a more concrete path from innovation to execution.
The connection to prototyping
Before making a new interface or service concept, I want to understand the system it must fit. A prototype can reveal an attractive experience; the surrounding operating model shows what must be true to deliver it.
