Does Culture Eat Strategy for Breakfast?
This famous Peter Drucker’s quote illustrates that, regardless of how good your strategy is, it’s your Culture that will always determine your success. No matter how strong your plan is, it can always be held back by members of your team that are not aligned to the organization’s Culture.
The Culture of an Organization is the sum of their people’s values, behaviors and beliefs. Most usually, it is a result of chance – that is, most companies do not spend time on their Culture. They focus on goals, long term planning and financials.
Culture is not defined by writing value statements on a board. It can be idealized and nurtured, but it needs to be intentional and constantly communicated to be understood and to help people internalize it. Consistent actions, feelings, perceptions all make it real.
We dare to say that we agree that Culture eats strategy for breakfast, lunch and probably dinner, but endoStrategy™ won’t be part of the menu. And that’s because Culture is the first guest in our line. Let us explain:
endoStrategy™ was forged with the belief that there’s no Problem Solving, Project Management or Marketing and Advertising tool or method that will be effective if the real needs are not identified, the whole team is not listened to and not reached with the required depth of information, on time. And if real human contact is neglected.
We believe that when we put the Human in the center of a project and we use empathy, simplicity, collaboration, diversity, and experimentation to understand their desires, we will get closer to fulfill their specific needs. This, then, reflects your company’s Culture…. The need to have every person within the company matter. To have every voice count.
Imagine how happier people, working in a happier place, where they can have healthier relationships and do meaningful work can be more productive, focused, collaborative, innovative and open to changes. Imagine now how it can be translated into results. With endoStrategy™ it can be real.
How are you shaping your company’s Culture?
